Toss the OJ!
I don't know what is in the store bought juices but recently I made OJ and it was much thicker. It got me thinking about what I consume in the morning to fuel my day.
Recently I made this smoothie, it is a nutritional powerhouse morning drink worth trying.....a lil spicy!
Pineapple + Ginger + Turmeric Wellness Blend:
I don't recommend using supplements in this recipe
Peel, chop and add the following to your blender:
1 Sweet Pineapple
1 piece of fresh Ginger any size - citrus, spicy zing
4oz of fresh Turmeric - Ginger family (milder) *it stains everything yellow*
Add the Coconut Water - blend on highest setting until smooth
Reduce the setting and add the rest of the Coconut Water

Health Benefits of Fresh Pineapple:
Bromelain: The most heavily studied compound in pineapple, primarily found in the stem, core, and fruit. It is a mixture of protein-digesting enzymes well known for breaking down proteins and modulating inflammation
Polyphenols & Flavonoids: Compounds like gallic acid, catechin, epicatechin, and quercetin act as powerful antioxidants
Organic & Ascorbic Acid: Pineapple is a great source of Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and contains diverse organic acids that support overall metabolism
Health Benefits of Fresh Ginger:
Gingerol: Provides potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects. May reduce inflammatory markers throughout the body, providing relief for chronic inflammatory conditions
Digestive Health: Speeds up gastric emptying, which may help relieve indigestion, bloating, and an upset stomach
Pain Reduction: Helps soothe muscle soreness after intense exercise and may alleviate symptoms associated with menstrual cramps
Health Benefits of Fresh Turmeric:
Inflammation Reduction: Curcumin helps neutralize free radicals and inhibits molecules that trigger inflammation
Antioxidant Action: By shielding cells from oxidative stress, it may offer preventative benefits against chronic issues
Fresh turmeric root: contains Curcumin alongside naturally occurring essential oils that enhance its anti-inflammatory effects. It provides a milder, earthier flavor
Maximize Absorption: Piperine, the active compound in black pepper, can enhance Curcumin absorption by up to 2,000%
Natural Halochromic PH Indicator: You may notice your smoothie starts to turn orange. Curcumin is a natural phytochemical. It changes color based on the acidity and alkalinity of its environment
Acidic (pH < 7.5): Remains a bright, golden yellow
Neutral (pH ~ 7.5): Remains yellow
Alkaline/Basic (pH > 8.5): Shifts to an orange, deep red, reddish-brown, or dark brown/black in strong bases
Enjoy!
Namaste.
