Having a clean mat is essential, especially when you take it everywhere. When you spray your mat, use a cloth and then drape over a door so it can dry and air out. You will need the following:

  • Large Glass Jar & Lid (save them, you paid for them and they come in handy)

  • Empty Spray Bottle

  • Measuring Cup

  • 2 Cups White Vinegar

  • 1-2 Sprigs of Rosemary

  • 1-2 Sprigs of Lavender (skip this if you have allergies)

  • For a nice scent, add in Ginger peel

  • Place all dry ingredients in your glass jar and pour in 2 cups of vinegar or until all ingredients are submerged

  • Screw lid on tightly, shake and then place in a cool, dry place (cupboard) for 2 weeks

  • After 2 weeks, strain into your empty spray bottle and add in equal amounts of water. Remember, if you added extra vinegar to submerge herbs, you should add in extra water too.

Benefits

  • Rosemary - Antimicrobial & antifungal. Also a good deodorizer. Helps to neutralize germs. Native to the Mediterranean, it handles heat and drought well. Move to afternoon shade to prevent scorched leaves

  • Lavender - Antimicrobial, antifungal, antiviral, antiseptic. Also a good deodorizer and smells good. Helps inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungus leaving your mat clean. Native to the Mediterranean, it handles heat and drought well. Move to afternoon shade to prevent scorched leaves

  • Lemon - Antibacterial and deodorizing properties. Citric Acid acts as a natural degreaser, removing sweat and body oils.

  • Ginger Peel - I added some Ginger peel just because.

Enjoy!

Namaste.
