What is "White Space" and how can you achieve it?
First and foremost it is FREE!
White Space is when you find complete solitude in your life and surroundings, completely empty of ALL of the following:
Clutter
Distractions
Electronics
Noise
Smells
Food/drink
In your White Space, you should feel instant calmness and restfulness. Essential oils, plants and maybe even painting the walls helps to bring you to a place of peace.
In a time where stress is in abundance, I would suggest this to ALL.
When you enter your White Space, be mindful. Leave your thinking brain behind. As you close the door/curtain and walk into serenity, take a seat.
Become focused on:
Drop into your breath - become intentional with deeper breaths
When your mind wanders, bring your focus back to the tip of your nose
Unclench your jaw and drop your tongue from the roof of your mouth
As you shift your thoughts to the present moment, notice how you leave behind the past and future
Now, just be
Think of where you can go to achieve equanimity
During the warmer months, enjoy the outdoors by doing grounding work. Place your bare feet on the earths surface, on sand or soil or even swimming in the sea.
Collecting natures beautiful gifts like shells, drift wood, flowers can help bring the natural vibration of mother nature into your home. If you are a gardener like me, there are so many beautiful edible perennials out there.
Having a White Space is a non negotiable.
Wherever you are in your life, wherever your journey takes you, be sure to create your "White Space".
